Wood Symphony and Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles are pleased to present the Father and Daughter Safaryan Exhibition, to be held at the Los Angeles Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia in Glendale on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 6:30-8pm. The exhibition will feature the exciting new creations of the award winning artists Nairi and Larisa Safaryan. We invite you all to join us on this evening and have the unique chance to see the new works.
World class artist and wood sculptor Nairi Safaryan’s works are described as fascinating, absolutely stunning, unbelievable and exquisite by numerous art critics and publications – making them sensations in the world of wood art. Nairi Safaryan’s perfect eye for beauty, never failing imagination and incredible mastery of sculpting are unprecedented. Nairi Safaryan carves to the limits of the wood’s strength, achieving extraordinary levels of thinness and refinement of the material.
Larisa Safaryan‘s unique carvings on egg shells are her subtle but direct expression of the joy, energy and emotionality that she carries inside her. Larisa’s carvings are delicate but intense, elaborate yet simple, harmonious and elegant. The spirit of innovation and excitement is at the heart of all of Larisa’s creations. The love, passion and time that she devotes into each of the sculptures are truly inspirational.
